Joomla reCAPTCHA no SEND button
« on: July 21, 2009, 02:03:25 AM »
Hi, I am new to the forum and a newbie in Joomla. I've installed Joomla Comments and changed its built-in captcha with Joomla reCaptcha. However, the resulting reCaptcha feature does not have a SEND button. What do I do to make sure the proper SEND button installs as well?

This is the last step I need for my Joomla reCaptcha plug-in to work. If it does, I'd say this is a very useful plug-in. I will then offer you my services to come up with clear instructions to install it--if you need help in this area. I have not found any instructions to install reCaptcha or Joomla reCaptcha that are easy to follow.

Kindly help me out on this. Thanks.

Thank you for your interest in our product.

JEZ reCAPTCHA Integrator plugin does not use own submit button.

Instead you simply need to place the code (either inclusion syntax or Joomla's triggerEvent function) to embed captcha created by http://recaptcha.net/ within the form you want to protect from spam bot.

Then, captcha verification data will be send along with form submission.

::) Thanks for your reply. I'll see if I can sort this out. I still don't understand how the reCaptcha entry and the form in which it is embedded can be sent without anything to click on. I have tried using the original button of the component I used it in, only to get error messages. Get back as soon as I thresh this out.???

Ok, I really need help. reCAPTCHA is most difficult to install and Joomla reCAPTCHA Integration Plugin, at least when integrated in Joomla Comments, does not seem to make things easier. Placing the code (in exclusion syntax) only makes reCAPTCHA appear on the component. The component's SEND button does not work with reCAPTCHA. It seems, as reCAPTCHA instructions say, some script have to be changed in some file that handles the send command/function. This is really the obscure part. In the case of the Joomla reCAPTCHA Integration Plugin,

(1) WHICH FILE (name and path) should be changed
(2) with WHAT CODE?

Your reply will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I installed the plugin. I added reCAPTCHA public key and private key. In k2 Articles>> Preferences> Enable reCAPTCHA "yes," he added reCAPTCHA public key and private, I have included the syntax (captcha), but the display reCAPTCHA for a few seconds and then disappears. Because?????

You should not use both our plugin and the reCAPTCHA feature of K2. Please stick with either.
